http://flyingjettour.jp/
On Saturday the 30th and Sunday the 31st of January I will perform at Nippon
Budokan with former Exile lead vocalist, Shunsuke Kiyokiba. And yes, those
dates are correct. I will perform with AI at the Billboard Awards on sunday
the 31st in the afternoon, then dash over to Budokan to perform with Shunsuke
Kiyokiba in the evening.
This is my first performance with Shunsuke and I hope it will lead to more
collaborations. I will be leading the choir with my very own choir arrangement of his hit song, "Ikiru Akashi" during
the encore of the concert. I promise, it will be tremendous.

This CM will run for one full year and you'll have plenty of time to hear it but you can also take a listen by clicking on the link above.
4) Acoustic Soul Night: Masa Kohama & Kaleb James- Live at Minotaur, Feb the 12th
http://www.mino-2.com/hp/index.htm
Me and my boy Masa are doing a guitar/piano duo gig at the Minotaur live
house in Shinjuku. This gig is going to be pretty wild because when me and Masa are jammin', all sorts of stuff comes up. Masa has a pretty interesting music background and we always turn
our shows together as backing members into funk/rock improvs through history.
This is our first time performing as just the two of us and I can't wait
to see what happens. Make it down to this gig and share the evening with
us as we go.

It's so good to be reunited with my good friend Shin Takeda, one of the baddest drummers in Japan. We've been talking about doing a show again as soon as our schedules permitted and it's finally come around. And this band features Hideyuki Komatsu on bass and Keith Haines on keyboards. We all have such a wonderful time on stage together and it comes through to the audience. Come down to Blues Alley on march 15th to hear some slammin' music by some great musicians.
7) Stevie Wonder Tribute: BLUES ALLEY- Mar. 29th & 30th
http://www.bluesalley.co.jp/schedule/live.html?disp_date=201003#Schedule-20100109200622
WE LOVE YOU, STEVIE: LIVE AT BLUES ALLEY- March 29th & 30th
We will present a two day celebration of Stevie Wonder's vast and marvelous musical repertoire. This is going to be an incredible event. I will be joined onstage with some of Tokyo's best musicians:
Eriko Akiyo on keyboards, Masa Kohama on guitars, Yuri on vocals, Jay Stixx on drums, Gary Scott on vocals/perc/sax, Andy Wulf on saxes, Sayulee on guitars and vocals.
This going to be so much fun because with Stevie's music, there is an ENDLESS pool of inspiration to draw from. For this reason, we have decided to do different shows for these two days. So, if you happen to attend both nights, you'll be treated to an entirely new experience. Make it down to this gig. I promise you will come away with something to talk about!
8) The Tokyo Metpod
http://www.tokyometpod.com/
And don't forget, you can hear me each week on the Tokyo Metpod with host Kamasami Kong. Our show features interviews and drop-in guests as we give information on all the artists coming to Tokyo and their shows. It's a great way to keep up to speed on what's going on in and around the Tokyo area. Plus, it's a whole lot of fun! |
